Little Knights
The Little Knights are a group of boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 14. The children meet once a month to work on charitable projects and to have fun. The meeting is held on a Saturday from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the council hall. An email is sent to the members once per month advising them of the meeting date and other K of C events. For more information on joining the Little Knights contact John Mahon at (631) 368-0872 or by email at JMahon@courts.state.ny.us
Some of our projects include:
- Preparing Easter baskets for needy children of our community.
- Preparing food baskets for the needy at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- Preparing toiletry kits for the homeless.
- Assisting our troops overseas by sending care packages.
- Raising money and conducting food drives at local supermarkets for the benefit of St. Anthony of Padua Parish Outreach.
- Raising money for other charitable causes such as children with cancer. Marching in the East Northport Memorial Day Parade.
To join, simply come to a meeting and participate. Meetings are held on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 12 noon at the council hall. Please check the upcoming events schedule in the Knight Light. Our main goal is to instill in the children, a sense of Christian charity and an understanding of the purpose of the Knights of Columbus as an organization. Each meeting concludes with pizza and soda.
