Pictures at Council and Auxiliary events

If you want pictures for the Knight Light for an event you are running, the best way is to ask someone to take them; you will usually be too busy. You will need a digital camera. Ask your photographer to take pictures of people in action and having fun. Don’t try to get everyone unless you can get everyone in one picture. Don’t send ones you don’t want used and recommend those that you really like! If you want Bob Spera to take the pictures, ask Bob in advance (499-1544 or better bobspera@optonline.net) If possible he will come.

Corporation 6893

Corporation 6893 is the legal entity responsible for Father Judge Hall. There is board of directors meeting January 13 at 7:30 PM. At the Council meeting on January 19 three board members will be elected by our Council members. At a meeting on January 20, at 7:30, the new board of directors will elect our Corporate officers.

Brothers and Sisters, please bring in a food product for the parish food pantry at the second (social) meeting, January 19th. Your donation will be appreciated. Little Knights

Our next meeting will be January 24 at 10:00 AM in Father Judge Hall. Boys and girls, 5-12 years old, meet on the 3rd or 4th Saturday of each month at the Hall. For information on joining us, call John Mahon at 631 368-0872. The Little Knights are collecting toiletry kit items (soap, shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion, tooth paste, etc) for making kits for the Huntington Interfaith Homeless Initiative. A collection box can be found in the Council hall for these items. This effort will continue with this effort through the winter.

Father Judge Hall—Talk it up

We are very fortunate to have a beautiful hall that is well-managed and well-maintained. These are difficult times for many and hall rental is falling off. The rates are reasonable and it is a great venue for almost any event from a children's party to a wedding reception. Be ready to recommend our hall for any occasion. For details, go to the Council Hall webpage, http://www.frjudge.org/hall.htm

about our Council
Father Judge  Council is named after Fr. Thomas A. Judge who was the second Pastor at St. Anthony of Padua Church.  He was very well liked by all parishioners especially little children who anxiously awaited at mass on Sundays to see what he had in his "little brown bag"  to preach about!  He had a great sense of humor which helped him get through a long but heroic bout with stomach cancer to which he finally succumbed in the mid 1970s.   The Father Judge Council works closely with the St. Anthony's Parish in East Northport, NY.
